Over the past ten years, I have cultivated my capacities to support creative work through grant writing and fundraising efforts. As a member of Dance Exchange leadership for many years, I often partnered with the Executive Artistic Director and Director of Development on successful city, county, and national grants. I supported and led numerous successful online individual giving campaigns. For my creative work, both through Dance Exchange and separately, I have successfully designed fundraising campaigns that combine individual giving, support from foundations, and local and national grants to meet project budgets.
Prior to a career in dance, I focused my time and work around writing and journalism, receiving a degree in Communication Studies from my first undergraduate institution. I was an editor on the school newspaper, and a frequent voice for the schools’ annual Tele-athon, raising money for school scholarships and programs.
